FIXER at Takadanobaba AREA 17.9.2017 (Personal post)

I’m on vacation in Tokyo right now and on September 17th I went to takadanobaba AREA to see 7 bands. I’ll try to post a little note about each performance in case anyone is curious. 🙂

A big thanks to the service of Ticket Japaaan who helped me to get my hands on concert tickets for this journey as well. ❤You can see all my posts from this night HERE.

FIXER
Fifth band on stage this night was FIXER. They entered the stage barefoot, all dressed up in black, blue, grey,  striped and flower-patterned yukatas.

FIXER

The audience screamed cheerfully when Jey very seductive pulled it down a bit to show his naked shoulder. But most of the guys’ yukatas got partly opened during the show so it was more or less an orgy of abs on stage. I must admit that I got a little bit disappointed that they didn’t wear any horns. ^_-

Jey talked a lot between the songs and even though my Japanese is extremely poor, I got that he made fun of themselves performing in simple yukatas when they actually are a visual kei band. Now and then he revealed his legs and white boxers. Soon enough we understood that he had some problems with itchy rashes on his thigh. He kept scratching and complaining about it. Eventuelly he walked away and came back with black gaffer tape which he stuck upon the rashes. I think that helped. 😛

But he seemed to have more problems than that since he also started to scratch his groin. I really wonder what he was suffering from! XD It didn’t hinder him from demonstrative flaunting his (quite revealing…) boxers now and then and patting his “package”.

Aika had such cute pink braids on the back of his head, horisontally aligned over black hair. As you can see on his picture below, this was a VERY rainy day in Tokyo.

I’ve seen FIXER live before, but can’t remember that it’s been as energetic as this time. It was a really good live and I truly enjoy artists that are charming and seemingly genuinly nice and humorous. When the strobe-lightning was on and Jey headbanged intensily on stage, it looked like his head was loose and bended in weird angles. It looked really scary and cool.

In the end, Jey dropped the upper part of his yukata and pretended to cut his wrists. He started to scratch himself very hard on the neck and chest so when the show was over, blood was pouring from his body. Here’s a video from the last part of the concert:

I would like to recommend everyone to go see FIXER live as well. It was a really nice show!

Welcome! This is not an actual news site but a personal blog, run by an ordinary person who loves visual kei. This is my space where I ventilate thoughts and values and shares happenings within the scene. My goal is to make information easy to access and to support artists and movements that I admire. Especially smaller bands that need an extra push in the djungle of major bands. English is not my native tounge so please condone my linguistic mistakes.
