[PRESS RELEASE]

SHIN (ex.ViViD) and THE SIXTH LIE will be debuting in Europe with individual performances at HYPER JAPAN held in London, UK, followed by two-man shows in France and Germany: Paris, Cologne, Munich and Hamburg. The tickets for SHIN x THE SIXTH LIE EUROPE TOUR 2017 “THE INCEPTION” will go on sale at May 2nd, 2017 12:00 CET!

SHIN gained wide popularity in and out of Japan as the frontman of legendary visual-kei band ViViD, who did various anime tie-ups (BLEACH, Mobile Suit GUNDAM, Level E, …) and filled the legendary Nippon Budokan only 2 years after they had been formed. The band’s journey unfortunately ended on April 29th, 2015. 605 days after that, SHIN held his first solo show at EX ROPPONGI THEATER, filling the venue with around 2,000 fans by himself.

Joining SHIN is a electro-rock band THE SIXTH LIE, who has gained wide popularity with their heavy rock sound spiced with electronic effects. Despite their young age, their stage presence is so convincing that they were invited to play at Slipknot’s festival “KNOTFEST JAPAN” last year. If you are not yet familiar with them, we strongly suggest you check out their YouTube channel! THE SIXTH LIE has also been invited to perform at Animethon in Edmonton, Canada this August.

General tickets and VIP Upgrades for shows at Backstage (Paris, France), MTC (Cologne, Germany), Feierwerk (Munich, Germany) and Headcrash (Hamburg, Germany) will be on sale starting from May 2nd, 2017 12:00 CET. VIP Upgrades will be on sale for only 2 weeks (until May 16 th, 2017) with a special price of only 20 euros! There will be no second sale after this, so hurry and get yours!
*Please note that you also need a general ticket (29 euros + handling) to be able to enter the venue.

■SHIN
the vocalist of ViViD, a legendary visual-kei band popular in both Japan and overseas, who filled Nippon Budokan with a headlining show only 2 years after the band had been formed. They made theme songs for various anime shows, including well-known titles such as BLEACH, Level E, Gundam and Magi. The band disbanded at Yokohama Pacifico Hall in May 2015, and 605 days after that, after making a surprise performance at V-NATION, vocalist SHIN announced that he would be making a comeback as a solo artist. He started his activities on December 24th 2016 at Roppongi EX THEATER in front of almost 2,000 people. SHIN is now at his new starting point ready to start his activities globally with no country borders standing in his way. SHIN`s performance will be backed by a full rock band. Don`t miss that exclusive show in an enjoyable club atmosphere.

■THE SIXTH LIE
“Art is the most beautiful lie” by Claude Debussy
The band name “THE SIXTH LIE” comes from the members who wish to create a lie that is so beautiful it goes beyond five senses, and you can’t explain it with words. They are a future rock band combining “virtual” and “physical”. The members met through internet around Reiji and Ray, and after few changes in the line-up, the current members got together in June 2015. With only a year after their current formation was formed, they stood on the stage of KNOTFEST JAPAN. THE SIXTH LIE is gaining popularity with unbelievable speed, and they are ready to try their wings on the other side of the ocean.

Welcome! This is not an actual news site but a personal blog, run by an ordinary person who loves visual kei. This is my space where I ventilate thoughts and values and shares happenings within the scene. My goal is to make information easy to access and to support artists and movements that I admire. Especially smaller bands that need an extra push in the djungle of major bands. English is not my native tounge so please condone my linguistic mistakes.
