If you are – just like me – a fan of both Sugizo and recently deceased David Bowie… then you will love this.
SUGIZO celebrates 20 years as an artist and has released an Orchestral Cover of David Bowie’s “LIFE ON MARS?” This was the first of a 3-Month consecutive release which began on August 15th.
So why David Bowie? When SUGIZO as a young man discovered this fascinating and androgynous artist, it changed his life completely. Therefore, SUGIZO has been substantially influenced by Bowie’s identity and ideals – and Bowie’s death left SUGIZO heartbroken. Hence this release can be considered as a tribute to Bowie.
Popular jazz pianist Takana Miyamoto participated in both recording and rearrangement, while SUGIZO plays the violin and guitar. Together they create an emotional and brilliant orchestral work.
