My 101’st jrock concert was a special one by many reasons. Partly since we in Nyanko Scandal Factory decided to make it our last for an indefinite time, but first of all since we could bring one of my very favorites – Satsuki – to Sweden. I’ve seen him twice before, in London and Munich, but this was his first time in Sweden.
JaME Sweden did just publish a review of the concert that you can read here.
Personally I’m really excited about Satsuki’s new mixture of sounds, since he really master them all. It’s obvious that he’s been around a while and know his stuff. A part of me sensed old vibes from Rentrer en soi, even though I believe that Satsuki’s new progressive metal is a professional level up. As I’ve mentioned before in this blog, I believe that Satsuki has one of the most amazing voices in this world, beautiful and unique in a way that makes it impossible to mix him up with anyone else. That sure is special in a music-scene where many artists sounds the same. The fact that he radiates star quality at the same time as he is humble and down-to-earth is a unique and impressive trait as well.
I’ve been listening to Satsuki’s latest release “EPCALIPSE” non stop since the show, and I truly want to recommend everyone to listen and buy a copy. You find it on iTunes and I’m sure it will be up soon on TOO WILD’s online shop as well.
