YOHIO documentary episode 7 (translation)

As I told you in a previous post, I’ve been asked by the Fanclub of Yohio in Chile to translate some episodes of his documentary and will post the translations here as well.

So here you go. This is what’s being said in the 7th episode of YOHIO’s documentary:

[Walking from Friend Arena]

YOHIO:
Damn.

Guy:
You are fucking awesome!

YOHIO:
No, get away with… *beeping noise*

[YOHIO lying in bed]

YOHIO:
I didn’t know what to think… if I would win or not. From being second last to number two, it’s just sick. If you’re competitive it’s really tough when someone fucks it up. If the jury would have been nicer, I would have won. That’s how it is.

[Title: SIGNING | VÄLLINGBY | THE DAY AFTER FINALE]

YOHIO

[Robin Stjernberg makes noises]

Guy:
I got bubbles is my stomach.

Robin Stjernberg:
I ate a double pizza with double fried eggs.

Guy:
And bacon.

Guy:
An entire chicken with bones and all.

Robin Stjernberg:
A whole chicken on the pizza, and fry it, with béarnaise sauce, breadcrumbs, fry… [don’t hear]

Guy:
And then you wind bacon all around the pizza.

Robin Stjernberg:
And French fried potatoes. With jam and chocolate.

Guy:
Then it’s finished.

YOHIO:
Oh, it’s community singing.

[Slides down the rail]

YOHIO:
Oh darn.

[Looking out]

Girl:
How cute.

YOHIO:
They are singing [can’t hear]

YOHIO:
You’re very tense now when you’ve been working with this for so many months. So when they called out Robin as the winner you feel a little like….ok… *disappointed*

[Walking out to the crowd]

YOHIO:
But when I think about it, I’m very pleased. I got Sweden’s votes. That’s truly a success.

YOHIO

[Performance and signing]

Girls:
YOHIO!

Kid:
Thank you!

YOHIO

Tommy:
They say “You are my biggest idol”. *laughing* Yeah, it’s cute.

Kid:
Bye bye!

Tommy:
It will be interesting to see what all this leads to.

[Crowd sings Heartbreak Hotel]

[Title: RECORDING | NIENTONE STUDIO | SUNDSVALL]

YOHIO:
I didn’t smile enough, one more time.

YOHIO

Guy:
Good job.

YOHIO:
Not well done, but good job.

[YOHIO meets friends]

YOHIO:
Hello!

YOHIO:
This time haven’t changed me as a person at all. I don’t feel any difference when I’m lying at home in my sofa and read a book, but as an artist, everything gets so scaled up in comparison to before. Everything becomes so much bigger, so much stress, more people around you, people who try to break you down, people who try to make you more successful, people that are fake and people that are real.

YOHIO

[Friends sitting in dark area]

YOHIO:
Sometimes I read really funny comments. They are not directed to me, they are about me. It’s something about me that truly annoys people. I don’t know what it is and they don’t do that either. They don’t like me, even if they like what I’m doing.

Friend:
Maybe you are too short.

[friends laughs]

Girl:
When there’s a revolution, there’s always something you don’t like, and in this case it’s you.

YOHIO:
Me? *laughs*

YOHIO

Girl:
Yes, you are that different person and people like that it is different, but still they are worried that it will ruin something.

Boy:
I don’t know if it’s a bunch of hillbilly’s that have bad attitudes or if it’s just people that want to provoke. I don’t know what it is.

YOHIO:
Unfortunately.

[Text on a computer screen]

“Acts like a diva…”

“Fake from beginning to the end”

“Boycott the dress-boy”

“Geek”

“Delusion of grandeur”

[YOHIO walking to an interview]

YOHIO:
Here is the Fridas hiding. (Frida is a girls magazine in Sweden)

Girl:
here is the Fridas hiding.

[YOHIO lies in a sofa]

YOHIO:
Like this. I always got style when I sleep.

YOHIO

[Girl laughing]

YOHIO:
A guy wrote on twitter that YOHIO will perform and then he hash tagged “baseball bat” and “Bye bye YOHIO”. That’s a hands-on threat so I have contacted the police.

Girl:
Why do you think people gets so provoked by you?

YOHIO:
They don’t like that you’re different from the norm. I’ve checked up this guy and he’s a regular football and hockey player that is typical macho. Then you’re like an animal. And animals don’t like what’s different. If they get a malformed child they will throw it away somewhere to die. Humans are nothing but animals. We think we are so darn smart but most of us aren’t. Like this guy. He’s not that very smart. He’s a narrow-minded person that likes to drink beer and watch sports.

[YOHIO and his father walking]

YOHIO

YOHIO:
I’m not a scared person even though I find some threats uncomfortable. But I’m not worried. I don’t have energy to think about that. There’s people who protects me. I also have myself to blame who have these strong opinions and aren’t afraid to speak openly about them in media.

[Title: P3 MORGONPASSET] (Radio show)

YOHIO:
As most people know, I truly hate K-Pop.

Girl:
But you said you liked some K-Pop?

YOHIO:
Yes, but I need to explain what I hate first.

Girl:
OK, let’s talk about the hate first.

YOHIO:
Because it’s so overly sexualized, just like USA, and I really hate that. For example [can’t hear], Lady Gaga, gross fucker. And Nicki Minaj for example, she’s even worse. She’s singing the D-I-C-K-word in all her songs and they are on albums like “Hits for kids” that are played on all school parties. That’s hideous! How can you even do that!

YOHIO

YOHIO:
The only way for me to reach out with my opinions is to speak freely. People won’t understand otherwise. Even though it’s not fun to be hated, it also got its benefits since it’s fun to provoke.

Girl:
The hate with Yohio in Morgonpasset P3. Maybe we can rename it to “YOHATIO”.

Man:
*laughing*

Girl:
Yay! Yohatio!

[In the car]

Girl:
Done.

YOHIO:
Now we’re on our way to Stinsen (shopping Centre in Stockholm) for signing for my album that is released today.

Interviewer:
How does it feel?

YOHIO:
It will be interesting to see how many people that will show up now since the Swedish Song Contest is over.

YOHIO

Tommy:
It’s critical! It’s more people than ever. They are about to close it since the people are tearing the place down soon!

YOHIO:
What?

Tommy:
We should have been there now. They have delayed it fifteen minutes. If we don’t get there, they have to close it.

YOHIO:
Shit, why is there so much traffic! Is it Easter today? Gosh, this Jesus who’s gonna die and resurrect all the time.

Tommy:
Eric Saade use to have the record of people there, but now it’s the double amount of people.

YOHIO:
*laughs*

Girl:
You are a girlboy! (Eric Saade had a wellknown song called “Manboy”)

YOHIO:
Girlboy, girlboy!

YOHIO

[Title: SIGNING TOUR | FIRST DAY | STINSEN]

[YOHIO performs]

Girl:
He is so cool!

Girl:
I don’t know what to say to you!

Girl:
He is like a dove. Like a white dove! He is so beautiful! I love him so much!

Tommy:
We made it after all. Hope this will keep going well. It would be fantastic.

YOHIO:
Bye bye!

YOHIO

[In a vehicle – night]

Tommy:
Do you want to hear a bed time story?
“Hysteria was the least to call it when YOHIO entered the stage. People screamed, waved and cried. The same kind of hysteria that we’ve seen from old TV shows from 1960s. At that time it was The Beatles.”

YOHIO:
Even when fans cries, I just laugh and thinks “How cute”, ’cause it is really cute, but then I think… “Shit, how can they cry over me? Why?”

YOHIO

YOHIO:
But in that situation, you don’t know what to do. You can’t comfort her because she’s not sad. She’s happy.

[YOHIO and his father walks towards a white house]

YOHIO:
The guy who manages the signing tours has been working with this for 20 years, and he says it’s never been like this before with a Swedish musician. When he’s excited and says: “This is crazy! This can’t be happening! You must enjoy it and feel blessed ’cause very few people will experience this”… I have a hard time to understand it, ’cause it has become something natural. I threw myself into this chaos.

[In the kitchen]

Tommy:
Am I the only one who wants coffee?

YOHIO:
*singing* I don’t want any coffee. I rather want my tea.

YOHIO:
[Can’t hear]
*singing very loud* … sitting here eating a cookie that tastes so good since it’s chocolate inside.

YOHIO

Tommy:
Are you OK?

YOHIO:
I never get that question nowadays.

Tommy:
I know, so how are you?

YOHIO:
They always ask: “How does it feel”.

Tommy:
Yes?

YOHIO:
That’s a totally different question from “how are you”.

Tommy:
Yes, do you feel better now when you’re so successful in Sweden?

YOHIO:
No.

YOHIO

Tommy:
What if you would become like Justin Bieber. That must be the loneliest profession in the world. Shit, you must become so lonely eventually.

YOHIO:
I feel pretty lonely too. I start to feel it more and more.
