YOHIO documentary episode 6 (translation)

As I told you in a previous post, I’ve been asked by the Fanclub of Yohio in Chile to translate some episodes of his documentary and will post the translations here as well.

So here you go. This is what’s being said in the 6th episode of YOHIO’s documentary:

YOHIO:
I’m YOHIO.

Daniel:
I’m Daniel, nice to see you.

YOHIO:
Nice to see you.

Daniel:
Are you excited? Nervous?

YOHIO:
No, not nervous. Rather excited.

Daniel:
Just enjoy it. It’s fantastic to be a part of this. I’m so happy for you. I hope everything will turn out great on Saturday.

YOHIO:
Thank you.

[Title: INTERVIEW ARTIST’s HOTEL]

Interviewer:
Do you know your competitors?

YOHIO:
I think there will be a fight between us young artists this year, actually. We battle of who’s got the most fans. After all, it’s just a fun thing to do. But since the music is our profession, it becomes very serious. Of course you want to win.

YOHIO

YOHIO:
Yah, no pictures on this. I don’t know how you nightly editors choose pictures later so I have to say no even if they won’t be used. I know how it works, you can’t fool me.

YOHIO:
I don’t like media that much, actually. I know that I need them and they need me. They need something to write about that people want to read, and at the moment, people want to read about me. It’s as simple as that.

YOHIO:
Now it’s cool.

Photographer:
[Can’t hear]

YOHIO:
I can’t get sick. It’s more important to not getting sick than getting a wall-picture.

Photographer:
Can you drop your hand a little.

YOHIO:
I said no.

YOHIO

Photographer:
Good.

Photographer:
The picture with the mirror…

YOHIO:
It’s cool.

Photographer:
We can find something here, can’t we.

YOHIO:
Yes, you’re good at this.

[Title: SIGNING | SOLNA CENTER]

YOHIO:
My expectations concerning the Swedish career is bigger now than in the beginning when I truly couldn’t believe this would work. But now when it’s all happening, I’m aiming for greater goals in Sweden as well. I don’t just want to be a children’s idol, I want to publicly loved.

YOHIO

Kid:
If Japan would be a part of Europe, YOHIO would own it.

Kid:
Everything!

Kid:
I love him. I’m his biggest fan!

Many kids:
YOHIO!

Johan Linder (band member):
People kind of look at YOHIO as a god. I don’t know if there’s any other musician in Sweden with that kind of status at the moment.

Tommy:
It’s sick. In a good way.

YOHIO:
Bye bye!

YOHIO

Girl:
I love you!

Tommy:
Presents!

[Yohio sits in the car]

YOHIO:
They are so sweet.

YOHIO:
Vote for me on Saturday!

YOHIO:
Hello! *laughing* I have to take all chances I get.

[Title: FRIENDS ARENA | THE DAY BEFORE THE FINALE]

Tommy Körberg: (Very famous singer in Sweden)
Yngwie Malmsteen, so darn talented, but he refused to read notes. But he could hear how they played.

YOHIO

YOHIO:
I’m the same, I can’t read notes either.

Tommy Körberg:
It’s good to…

Carola Häggkvist: (Very famous singer in Sweden)
*singing* Here we are again… standing here singing…

YOHIO:
Is it water.

Carola:
I’m drinking elderberry water. You’re so good!

Man:
Can I take a picture?

Sean Banan: (competitor)
Oh, I’m sorry! I’m sorry!

YOHIO:
You will be in the picture. Come here!

YOHIO

Carola:
*singing* It’s a little bit crazy. Baby, baby, baby, no!

Carola:
It will be awesome. You’re really good.

YOHIO:
Thank you so much.

Carola:
Take care, see you later!

[getting photographed with girl in wheelchair]

Woman:
Perfect!

YOHIO

YOHIO:
You need a certain aura when you’re an artist.

YOHIO:
Some people get annoyed by it. It’s up to them. But I never have any intention to be rude to anyone or think that I’m better than others ’cause I don’t do that.

Kid:
I will cheer on you. A lot!

YOHIO:
But I still want to show my status, and what I am. It’s just like a politicians acts in a certain way. They show their status as a politician. I show mine as an artist.

[Outside Elite Hotel, Stockholm]

Girl:
YOHIO, can we get a picture of you?

Girl:
We could hardly see it was him. Will you come out here tomorrow? Will we be able to meet you then?

YOHIO:
Unfortunately not. You must watch TV.

YOHIO

Girls:
We will watch TV. It’s good enough. Good night!

[YOHIO and his father in the hotel room]

[Can’t hear]

YOHIO:
Tomorrow, it’s finale in the Swedish Song Contest 2013. Now it’s for real. That’s why I need sleep. Kisses to you all and nighty night nighty…

YOHIO

[Title: SWEDISH SONG CONTEST 2013]

[YOHIO playing guitar and singing]

YOHIO:
I’m standing in the corridor in the Friends Venue. Now it’s finale in a festival that is called Melodifestivalen (~The Swedish song contest). Oh oooh.. I want you to vote tonight… please vote for me! Pleeeeeaaaase…

YOHIO

[Backstage]

YOHIO:
You can vote now right, it’s open?

YOHIO:
It’s better that you call than sms, ’cause they are counted faster.

YOHIO:
This might be illegal. I don’t know if it’s OK to vote on yourself.

[Telephone voice]

[Voice exercise with singing coach]

YOHIO

YOHIO:
I have never been a competitive person until I started to work with music professionally.

Robin Stjernberg: (competitor)
Good looking as always.

YOHIO:
I’m more of a competitive person now than before. And I think it’s fun to have competition, then you have something to fight against.

Sean Banan: (competitor)
God damn, you smell like cotton candy!

Sean Banan: (competitor)
Do your best guys!

YOHIO

Arne Weise: (famous TV personality and show host on Christmas Eve for 30 years)
Merry Christmas!

YOHIO

Tommy:
The media has played down YOHIO a bit, it has been a lot about Ralf, Anton Ewall. I think it’s good for tonight, that he hasn’t been the favorite all week. I hope that’s not too much.

[Meeting friends]

Seike: (Seremedy)
God damn it, make sure to win! Otherwise I will beat you up.

YOHIO

YOHIO:
I’m in a real hurry now.

Girl:
We came here to see him. And then we only see him for two minutes and now we are alone!

Friend:
He will win.

Seike:
Visual Kei is in now. Sweden is ready!

YOHIO:
It’s cool. Even though it’s a lot of people here. So… it’s cool.

YOHIO

YOHIO:
YOHIO as an artist is something really great and almost divine to other people, just like other great artists. It doesn’t feel like a human, rather a comic figure. Or like a myth or legend that you don’t really believe exists until you see it. It’s an extremely pressure to live up to what people expect of you all the time.

YOHIO

[Waiting for the result]

Tommy:
This was the worst thinkable scenario that the European jury didn’t believe in this. Ulrik Munter is second in Europe, and I’m mathematic, YOHIO can’t win. This was the worst fucking scenario.

Tommy:
He has got ALL Swedish votes! Can he win? Can he? Yes, he won! He has 46 plus 30! He won god damn it!

YOHIO

Man:
Noooooooo!

Man:
Don’t take it too serious.

Tommy:
Yeah, right.

[YOHIO and his father hugs]

Tommy:
We won in Sweden but the European jury was really strange. It doesn’t matter. We won in Sweden, that will mean a lot to us. Let’s celebrate that tonight.

Sebastian Lundström: (friend)
I can’t leave it be. This is so wrong!

YOHIO:
Damn.

YOHIO

Johan Linder:
It’s like this. You are a winner. I you will keep being a winner.

[In the NINETONE bus]

Guy:
But stop it.

YOHIO:
No.

Guy:
You are fucking awesome!

YOHIO:
No, get away with… *beeping noise*
