These beautiful words were posted by Hiroaki Nakashima, vocalist in I -アイ- September 4th on Facebook. I would like to share it with all of you.
Great thanks to my friend Hide who made the translation from Japanese to English!
With this, my hand, I wonder how many people have I shaken hands with, how many people have I hugged
How many people have I wiped their tears
Based on my experience …
This hand writes lyrics from my words, strikes notes to create melodies,
draws pictures of images in my brain
With this hand, I hit the wall with chagrin, wiped my own tears
mourned lack of my talent, time after time, I clenched and hit the wall.
My clenched fist has been used to break stuff and hurt myself,
I know that when I open it up, I will have much prospects and create bright future
but when I’ve got obsessed by stuff, I clench my fist. It becomes like a stone.
Just like my heart.
I mourned lack of my talent and hurt myself.
In the course of creating a song, there’s a fight against myself.
My shabby right hand is always my complex
whereas it is my beloved, one and only, dominant hand to embody my talent
I have spent much time and effort
I push myself to the deadline of my new song recording session (next week release)
The phrase “blood and sweat”, I want it be past-thing, even though it won’t be rewarded.
But I never compromise. I believe I can make it.
By the time I relieve from this suffering, I work hard and push to the limit.
Alright, I’ll be back recording session.
I -ai- (I -アイ-)
Pronunciation: Like the English “I” or “eye”.
