Short movie about YOHIO during his signing tour: Yohio ställer upp i kampen mot mobbning

Translation:

Text:
Yohio participate in the fight against bullying
The artist YOHIO want to be a role model for all the children and youths who gets bullied ’cause they are different.

Interviewer to children:
What is it about YOHIO that you like?

Child 1:
He is so cool.

Child 2:
His hair is pretty and he looks like a girl.

Child 3:
He dares to be different.

Interviewer to YOHIO:
How are you?

YOHIO:
This is probably the most insane signing I’ve ever had. We beat a record here.

Voice:
Today it’s album release and TV4 News follows YOHIO when he meets thousands of fans at a shopping mall outside Stockholm. It has not always been like this for this boy who decided to go his own way when he was 12 years old already.

YOHIO in the tourbus:
I used to be called everything possible, like gay, homo, fucking tranny… just because I was a guy who wore makeup. But all I used to think was; too bad for them that they are so narrow-minded.

Voice:
YOHIO tells us in the tour-bus that since his breakthrough this winter, he has got loads of mails and letters from children who not only likes his music, but also look up to him due to his courage to be different.

YOHIO:
I get a lot of mails from fans who says that I have helped them in different ways.

Interviewer:
What do they say?

YOHIO:
“Thanks for being there.”, “You make it easier for me to be my self” and “Without you I wouldn’t have made it” and “Now I dare to do more things than before”. These kind of messages is very common.

Voice:
Today, YOHIO is very proud of being a role-model and that his clear personal choices can give other people strength.

YOHIO:
I feel that it’s a task that has been given me; that I must show the children how it should be and that it’s OK to be different.
