This is SO creepy.
What would you do if you were walking on the streets and suddenly saw an old man in a nice suit, crawling on the ground. My first thought would have been: “He must be hurt somehow!” and then I would approach him to see what’s wrong.
But in this case: it’s controversial art with a message. The inventor and artist, Momoyo Torimitsu, created three robots back in 2004 that would symbolize the competition between American, European and Asian businessmen. Who crawls the fastest; who wins?
The Japanese robot was supposed so symbolize the Asian economy crash and Japan’s rigid salary-man culture.
