Today I went to Leksand to attend to the Japan-convent “Rencon”.
It’s been really cold lately so a short skirt was out of question. I decided to dress up a bit ladylike today instead. ^^
I stayed at the hostel “Furuhagas Gästhem” which was really picturesque and cozy. What confused me was that the person in the reception never asked for my name, he just handed me a key without a word. Hm…
Anyway, I would recommend this hostel for anyone. It was located a ten minutes walk from the railway station and five minutes from the Tegera Arena where Rencon was held.
My main reason for going here was to see Lix perfom, which I will tell you more about in another blog post. I didn’t shop anything today ’cause I need to save money for my Japan-trip.
I met Jessica, Natsu, Pachi Pachi and Saya for instance. It’s always nice to see some familiar faces when you travel alone like this.
I also went to my very first maids cafe. ^^ Not a “real” Japanese one, but fun anyway. (Note to self: I MUST visit a maids cafe when I’m in Japan!).
I got served by a cute young boy with golden locks (probably a wig) and a maid’s dress. I ordered this hot chocolate with whipped cream and marshmallows *oshii* but before I could eat we had to chant and do some kind of choreography to:
Nyan nyan (like a cat’s meow)
Niko Niko (smile!)
Pyon! (rabbit sound, associated with something “cute”)
And here I got accompanied by hide and Rem (Death God in Japanese anime “Death Note”).
I would kill for that doll….
