So it was time for me to go to London again.
When I arrived at Arlanda airport I got informed of that my flight had been delayed with some hours. They gave me a voucher with some money to spend for the inconvenience.
Bummer. Well, nothing I could do about that. I better just enjoy myself at the airport while waiting.
And the fact that my flight was delayed was actually a lucky thing, cause while walking among the stores I suddenly saw an Asian guy stop in front of me, giving me a look like he knew me. He was pushing a pile of bags on a trailer and I couldn’t tell who he was since he wore a black hat and a typical Japanese mouth mask.
But as I came closer I got stunned and I kept asking:
– HITT…? Is it HITT…?
He slightly removed his mouth mask and I could see that it was really him.
This just felt SO weird. Me stumbling into a Japanese rock-star that I absolutely adore, and the fact that he was the one noticing me, not the opposite.
The other day when I saw him perform at Lakeside…
…I was too nervous to say everything I wanted to say. But this time it felt like meeting almost any acquaintance. I asked him where he was going and he told me that he was on his way to White Russia but that his flight had been delayed as well.
He wore the face mask since he was sick and he looked a bit tired, since he was in the middle of his European tour. He told me that he had been traveling around for this tour since February.
I asked him if I could take a photo of him and he said that it was OK, but he didn’t want me to upload it on the Internet – so of course I wont! But I will give you this “paint-over” of the photo instead.
I don’t know why he didn’t want me to upload the photo, maybe he didn’t want to show himself as sick and with no makeup, but believe me, he looked stunning and hot as always. He sure got the gods on his side.
Last time I met him at the gig I forgot to give him a hug (due to my nervousness), but this time I asked him if I could give him one and I could. Lovely. I admire that man so much.
I didn’t want to bother him too much, so I wished him a safe trip and said good bye. But it was weird walking around at the airport knowing that an idol of mine was there, waiting, as well. Arlanda airport is not that big after all. For a while, I hardly dared to go anywhere, ’cause I was afraid to run into him again and that he would think that I was stalking him.
But after I’ve been enjoying a beer and some food, I found him again in the waiting room. He was leaning on his bags with his eyes closed. I wondered if he was sleeping and I thought… if I was bored waiting here for my flight, maybe he was bored too? Maybe he would like some company?
So I sat down next to him, asking with a silent voice:
– Are you sleeping?
Maybe he was, ’cause he jumped a bit and looked a bit confused. I wanted to make a little conversation with him, and talked about his tour, his traveling, the Japanese hanami and such.
He asked me where I was going and I told him that I was on my way to London. He asked why and I told him that I was going to see L’arc~en~ciel. I wondered if he knew about them and he looked at me as if I was crazy:
– Of course I know L’arc~en~ciel!
The language barrier was a little bit too big. I’m not sure if he understood everything I said. I hope he knew that I just wanted to be nice and ease his waiting. But on the other hand, I realized that he must has been dead tired and in need of sleep, so for a second time, I wished him all good and said that I would let him sleep some.
– Mata ne!
And he said:
– Thank you!
I still can’t get that I actually met him just like that. These kind of things just don’t happen to me.
Keep up the good work, HITT! /A hitter
