Meeting Toyooka-san

Lately I’ve been in contact with a Japanese man which I found on the website “SweJap”. He will visit Sweden for some months to work at the Karolinska institute and looked for someone in Stockholm who he could practice English with. I’ve really looked forward to meet him.

So, this evening I picked up Toyooka-san at his hostel.

He had a lot of gifts to me from Japan – I’m so grateful and happy. A very kind gesture. See, the entire Elfen Lied manga in Japanese! (I love Elfen Lied, I believe it’s the best manga/anime ever). Cute Japanese kitchen magnets, a fabric handkercher and a memory stick that looks like a cat-paw.

Wow! I could never had imagined this.

Later we went to Roppongi to eat some sushi. Toyooka-san said that the sushi tasted really well. Maybe some places in Sweden can cook good sushi after all.

We had a lot of fun things to talk about! I had a blast and look forward to see more of Toyooka-san. 🙂

Welcome! This is not an actual news site but a personal blog, run by an ordinary person who loves visual kei. This is my space where I ventilate thoughts and values and shares happenings within the scene. My goal is to make information easy to access and to support artists and movements that I admire. Especially smaller bands that need an extra push in the djungle of major bands. English is not my native tounge so please condone my linguistic mistakes.
