Kaichou wa Maid-sama

So I’ve watched another anime lately divided into 26 episodes. It’s called Kaichou wa Maid-sama and tells the story about Misaki, a young girl with a lot of irons in the fire. She’s a top student and a very dedicated school president – a quite dominant and tough one, especially towards the boys since she hates guys.

Her family is very poor and hence she secretly works part-time as a maid at a maid café in a neighboring city. She doesn’t want anyone at school to know, since it could ruin her reputation as school president.

But Usui, the coolest guy at school discovers her secret and falls in love with her. It’s and unrequited love, since Misaki hates his guts an consider him as s a perverted alien (it’s her own words).

Well, it’s a cute and quite funny story with a lot of lovely Japanese geek-elements like maid cafés, otakus, visual kei artists etc. Usui is a character, easy to like, even though his quite arrogant and self-righteous… in a charming way. I guess they actually managed to create that “perfect” cool male-character that most girls dreams about.

I would definitely recommend it, especially for those who likes Shōjo animes.

Welcome! This is not an actual news site but a personal blog, run by an ordinary person who loves visual kei. This is my space where I ventilate thoughts and values and shares happenings within the scene. My goal is to make information easy to access and to support artists and movements that I admire. Especially smaller bands that need an extra push in the djungle of major bands. English is not my native tounge so please condone my linguistic mistakes.
