MIYAVI – Neo Tokyo Samurai Black World Tour 2009

It was the first time for me, seeing Miyavi live and all, and I must say that that guy truly rocks on stage (and beneath it?). Looked like he came a liiiittle bit too close to the fans at one point (disappeared beneath stage and crawled back on with no shirt on…) The title of his blog-entry from that date:

i was stripped…

Well, I think you wanted it, MYV! ^_-

MYV is a mischievious boy.

MYV is a mischievious boy.

When I visited the bathroom during the show I heard the upset security guards complain about that careless artist who was daring and stubborn enough to climb the pipes on the ceiling (cause he did that too, after being stripped). What if he would fall? It’s not like the girls underneath him would catch him and pat his head, that’s for sure. They would rip him apart.

Well, the guards had a point I guess, but I really enjoyed Miyavi’s show, with clothes or not. First of all, he’s an amazing artist and guitarist. He seemed to have a really good time as well. Such great energy, happiness and ardor. (And he spoke English very very well… i.e. I understood what he said ^_-)

The set-list was great! I wish I could remember them all, but I don’t. Anyone remember the set-list? Well, I heard some of my favorites anyway: Super hero, Neo Visualism, We love you, Senor Senora Senorita etc.

I love the way he headbangs!

And this is Miyavi’s own filming. You can’t see me, I was standing to the right in the dark:

Let me see your fuckin’ beautiful faces. Sweden!

Welcome! This is not an actual news site but a personal blog, run by an ordinary person who loves visual kei. This is my space where I ventilate thoughts and values and shares happenings within the scene. My goal is to make information easy to access and to support artists and movements that I admire. Especially smaller bands that need an extra push in the djungle of major bands. English is not my native tounge so please condone my linguistic mistakes.
