ADAMS shows in Finland and Sweden

Nyanko Scandal Factory booked the sexy duo ADAMS to Finland and Sweden and hence I got the opportunity to work with them during 11th and 12th April as staff.

First I headed to Helsinki to pick up the band at the airport and things went quite smoothly to my relief. We headed to the venue where I finally got to meet my Finnish friends Merja and Reina, which were staff as well.

A lot of people showed up at Gloria and it was such a delight to see.

ADAMS spellbound the fans with passionate music and sexy performing. The audience got wild, screaming, sheering and clapping hands. It truly was an amazing show. ADAMS played mostly old songs from NEO SEXUAL but also some new ones from their recently released album SIXNINE.

ADAMS

For those of you who haven’t bought the album yet, I can reveal that it contains some pretty crazy/sexy photos of the guys… totally naked. ^_-

ADAMS | SIXNINE

Next day it was time to go to Stockholm, Sweden, where ADAMS performed at the Lakeside venue. The audience was a bit smaller, but ADAMS still gave the most amazing show like if it would have been an arena with thousands of fans. I remember that I was smiling widely all the time at my spot behind the merchandize table. They are truly a delight to watch live. And I actually think that their performance was even more daring and sexy here than in Finland. Fans were blushing and partly covering their faces with their hands, like they were afraid to watch. Very cute.

ADAMS

The next day it was time for the band to continue to another city in Europe, but we got some time for sightseeing here in Stockholm, which I hope they enjoyed.

THANKS GUYS FOR AMAZING SHOWS! And please come back. :-)

But hey, ADAMS’s Euro tour is not over yet! Take your chance to see them live!

Visual kei event in Ikebukuro Cyber

Today me and Jessica headed to Ikebukuro for another visual kei event. Today we were going to see palholic, Lil.y, Hisatan, Gimmick, Misaruka, The Gallo and Capella.

Very big building that looks like a cell phone in Ikebukuro. ^^

IMG_4750

But first we ate some FOOD! I love gyoza!

The venue (“Cyber”) was very very small. Like a garage. I think we were less than 50 people in the audience. So the concert became very intimiate and cozy.

First out was palholic/pastelholic/ (パスホリ). I have never heard about this band before. The singer was dressed in red and was very smiley and energetic. Maybe a little bit TOO smiley. ^^ The music was OK, but a little bit too soft for me.

pastelholic

Next was Lil.y. I liked them, since there was more screaming. I had heard about Lil.y before. They wore blue and white clothes. The singer had very sharp blue lenses. Me and Jessica did a good job to copy the furi. I think I will listen more to Lil.y when I come home.

Lil.y

Next was Hisatan (ひさたん) from FULL EFFECT and he entered the stage with a mask so we couldn’t see his face. Neither me or Jessica had heard about him before so we wanted to know what he looked like. Was he old? Young? He had a lot of fans in the audience that was screaming for him like crazy. His music included a lot of headbanging, so that was nice, but the rest was not that exiting. When he took off his mask we could see that he was a pretty young boy. He wore a simple hoodie and shorts, the less visual kei of tonight.

Next was Gimmick. They had quite funny clothes. The singer did not have that much charisma though. The bass-player was very small, dressed in baggy clothes, big black glasses and had big cute hair. He smiley constantly. Looked a little bit like a cute nerd to me. ^^ One of the guitar-players sang along very passionate to each song. It was fun to see Gimmick, but not that great that I wanted to buy a CD.

Gimmick

Next was Misaruka. When the curtain in front of the stage was removed and we could see their siluettes, they looked like giants compared to the other bands. Big hair and big dresses, like a Versailles replica. The singer was very cute. This was the first time I saw them live, Jessica had seen them three times before. I think their songs had funny furi and this was one of the best bands of tonight. During one song, everybody was supposed to run to the stage and kind of bump into each other, hard to explain. Jessica enjoyed this a lot, and the singer kind of grabbed her head and forced her to his lap. To me, it looked like Jessica tried to get loose, but couldn’t. But she returned smiley widely. Well, yes, he was good looking.

Misaruka

Next up was THE GALLO, my favorite band of this night. I had bever heard them before. They entered the stage with black capes, holding candles. Last entered the singer with a big scary black mask, looked a little bit like a gas-mask. But he threw it off quickly. THE GALLOs music was fast and heavy, a lot of headbanging – I liked it a lot. Definitely the best of tonight. One of the guitarists was pretty crazy. After a while he took off his shirt and ran down to the audiece. The singer told us to split and gather at each wall. Then we were supposed to jump into the middle and moshpit with the guitarist. He seemed to enjoy it a lot. He ran around among the girls and messed up their hair. Then we were split again, and demanded to start circling arount the guitarist.

THE GALLO

In the end the singer smudged his lipstick all over his face and chest. Sexy. I decided to buy one of their CDs, their music was good.

IMG_4755

And last out was Capella. Maybe the most popular band of tonight. I had heard about them before. Their music was OK, but not really my taste. A little bit too soft. But they were cute and smiley. The band will dispand this year.

Capella

Overall it was a pretty cool evening. It’s exciting to see bands you haven’t heard of before. :-) And Japanese concerts are so much more fun that European one.

I believe I’ve seen 15 bands during this Japan visit. That’s probably more that I saw during entire last year. ^^

And I bought some chekis of THE GALLO and Misaruka.

VelBet’s last live (Shibuya)

I’ve seen two band during this Japan visit that I used to think I never would see live. The first one was GRIEVA. And the other one was VelBet.

I saw VelBet this evening. And it was their last live ever, since they will disband. A very emotional night. I will come back to this…

Velbet

But first, me and Jessica made a short visit to Harajuku this morning for some shopping. I found following:

Bracelet, hide-necklace, hide pin and black mouth masks.

IMG_4647

I also bought this beautiful hide-figure. HIDE YOUR FACE

Jessiva found this cool glasses.

IMG_4633

It was sunny and warm and very crowded. We strolled down Takeshita Street and ended up at Laforet. We had to take a look at the visual kei store “Like an Edison”.

Um… a lot of teddy bears that holds up their own loose heads seems popular right now….

IMG_4643

DIAURA singer shows what happens when he puts on some makeup…

IMG_4651

Reasons why you can not smoke on the street in Japan…

Anyway, later I headed to Shibuya for VelBet concert. It took place at Shibuya O-west. I saw that Alcatraz was located next to it – a restaurant with theme mental hospital. I would like to go there… Hope Jessica will join me.

Outside O-West

IMG_4652

IMG_4653

IMG_4654

I bought some photo-cards and chekis with VelBet.

The band has been active for five years (2009 – 2014). Now it’s gonna end. It’s so sad.

The arena was quite small. I think we were about 400 people there. I got a good spot with a good view and even though the hall was pretty crowded, there was some space between the rows. That makes it easier to dance to the music.

IMG_4655

I found it pretty cool to see them live. I feel truly blessed and I’m so happy that I have the opportunity to experience things like this. I realised that this would be a passionate night.

And that’s the true word of this evening – passion – ’cause the band rocked so so hard and gave absolutely everything. The whole atmosphere screamed “last time”.

I truly love Riuki’s voice and I think he is so cute. He wore a black and white shirt and a colorful jacket. His hair was sprayed up in the back so it looked like a gloria, he looked like a lion. The same kind of hairdo that Ruki (The GazettE) used to have. Kaie looked very much like Uruha and Yuuna looked very much like Aoi. If you squinted with your eyes, it actually looked like you were watching the GazettE.

In Europe, you do whatever you want at a concert, but at a Japanese gig, you’re part of a bigger system and the entire audience makes the same moves at the same time. The dance moves is called furi. It’s almost like aggressive and loving aerobics (ha ha), or watching an audience street dance. I think it’s very fashinating. I tried to copy the furi as good as I could but sometimes it was very complicated. But it was fun and I enjoyed it all, even though you get very tired fast. Jump, headbang, run back and forth… I will truly have an aching neck tomorrow, we headbanged so much.

I’m in love with this band. Riuki forgot a little bit of the lyric once and after that he got the cutest big smile. Watching the entire band headbang together was wonderful. Ryohei reminds me a little bit of a young Pata (X-Japan) by some reason.

Suddenly it started to rain “cherry blossom petals” over us. It was very beautiful.

VelBet's last live

I the middle of the show, all band members left the stage except Natsuka. He gave us a wonderful drumsolo, made us clap our hands in certain rythms and shout.

Then all members came back again and continued playing. I’m so glad that they played favorite songs of mine like: Tokyo (東京), Yuusetsu Monochrome, Youthful days and Toshin Dai no Bokura (等身大の僕ら).

Then it was time for encore. We shouted and shouted.

Suddenly they lowered a giant screen over the stage and the entire audience sat down on the floor. We watched photos and movieclips from 2009 to 2014 where VelBet was performing live or kidding around backstage.

Then we saw an audience and it took a while before I realised that it was us. We stood up and waved. It was crazy to see myself there on the wall. Then the camera filmed the band backstage and followed them out on stage. Now they wore band-t-shirts.

The played more songs. Riuki sprouted water on us and I got some very appreciated drops on my face. It was so warm in there! This time it rained plastic silver ribbons on us. They played a song with the most exhausting furi. I thought I was going to die. Riuki did stagedived twice. Ryohei once. ^^

Then another encore. It took a while before they came back and performed Toshin Dai no Bokura as the last song. It was very emotional. I wondered why Riuki’s voice suddenly became so weak. Then I saw that tears fell down from his face. He was crying! He made the audience sing the refrain for him and I saw how everybody in the audience cried intensively. It was a quite painful moment.

When the song was over, the drummer sat on the floor and cried. The bassist stood there, like paralyzed, not wanting to take off his bass. He cried the most of them all. Shit, I felt so sorry for them. They all held a speach for us and I really wished that I could understand what they said. When it was time for Ryohei to speak, he couldn’t say a word, ’cause he was crying so much. Riuki gave him a hug and that was sweet.

Then they threw picks , waterbottles and drumsticks to us. They also threw a way a bunch of… I don’t know the word for it, you know, the upper part of a drum, the lid, that the drummer hits. They were signed and they threw them away like freesbees. I wish I could have caught one but I didn’t.

This have been a wonderful night, very emotional. I’m so, so happy that I got the opportunity to see them…

I will never forget this night.

GRIEVA, MEJIBRAY, BORN, DIAURA, Liphlich & DEZERT concerts

This day has been really sunny and warm, no jacket needed!

IMG_4343

We made a short visit in Harajuku where we went to a Purikura place. You know, these cute, pastell colored photos that Japanese highschool students like to take together. I simply think it’s fun.

It was very crowded today…

IMG_4345

Everything is about being KAWAII in Japan! ^^

IMG_4346

I think I’ve told you about this before, but you need to make a lot of choices before you can actually take the photo.

IMG_4347

Then you go into a booth, follows the instructions and take your photos.

Then you need to find another booth where you can decorate your photos.

IMG_4348

And here is the result… lol.

IMG_4349

Today we had big plans…. we were going to Ikebukuro for a visual kei event and see following bands: GRIEVA, MEJIBRAY, BORN, DIARUA, Liphlich and DEZERT!

IMG_4344

IMG_4352

IMG_4353

IMG_4354

We saw some sakura in bloom. ^^

IMG_4355

Inside the arena. It’s Tatsuya ‘s birthday today, drummer in DIAURA.

IMG_4356

Flowers… since it was the arena EDGE’s 2nd anniversary. But we weren’t actually in the EDGE building… I don’t know why. That’s why we got lost a lot today.

IMG_4357

We thought that we would be standing during this event, but it turned out that we all had seats in the arena. I liked it, ’cause I was still quite sore after the GazettE gig yesterday (where I more or less had to fight for my life). ^^ We sat on the balcony and got a really good view.

First to perform was GRIEVA. To me it was really amazing to get the opportunity to see them live. They were actually my favorite this night. It was really hard, fast and a lot of screaming and headbaning. They were all dressed in black and rivets, and the singer ran around and rolled on the floor. High energy!

Next up was DEZERT. I have actually not heard them before, I think. But they were pretty good. The singer had two top-knots and a “bloodstained” white shirt. The bassplayer wore a panda-mask for a while before the singer took it off and threw it to the audience. The singer poured a bottle of water over himself and a guy from the staff had to run in and dry the floor. It looked a bit funny.

dezert

Then there was Liphlich and they played at least three songs that I like. They looked the less visual kei today I believe, in comparison with the other bands. The singer wore a quite simple, red and shiny costume. He had a quite powerful vibrato.

lip

And next up was BORN. I really didn’t like the singer’s clothes, I don’t know how to describe it… some kind of black and golden body suit… any way he looked really redicilous in it and when he started to hump it didn’t look sexy at all. ;-) He had really sharp red lips, blond hair and glitter under his eyes. He has a very powerful voice and the whole crowd below us started to jump from side to side in the arena.

Then there was MEJIBRAY, Jessicas favorites. I saw Meto enter the stage, crawling with is teddybear in his mouth. Then did Koichi and MiA enter and last came Tsuzuku with a black cape. Mejibray was awesome, as expected. Shit, that man has an extremely high-pitched scream sometimes. And it didn’t take long before he took off his cape and his jacket below. Then he was wearing a black string vest. He tied his jacket around his neck and simulated himself being hanged and fell down on his knees. The first song they played was RAVEN. MEJIBRAYconcert included a lot of headbaning and it was fun!

And last was DIAURA. That singer looks really really good, and… he he he, especially with this shirt off. That man has some serious abs!!! I think he had the most handsome clothes of them all tonight. And the music was good.

Live report: GazettE in Hesinki (my story)

GazettE, the band I hold more precious than life itself…

I’ve seen them live four times. In Tokyo, in Dortmund, in Munich and now in Helsinki. Four is a bad number. It can’t end here.

This will probably not be a very long live report, ’cause I’m absolutely exhausted and I have this feeling that I didn’t have after the previous lives: emptiness and sadness. A lot of things was also the same as in Dortmund and Munich.

This was the finale of the GazettE’s World Tour. Here in Finland.

Tomorrow I have to go back to Sweden. Back to my everyday life… well, until next weekend when I will see Gackt. ^^ But even though Gackt is awesome – he is not the GazettE.

It has been a long and very physically challenging day. 12 hours of waiting, and most of that time outside in a very cold Finland. COOOOOLD! Apparently, Ruki had written on Twitter that he found Helsinki cold too. Poor guy. But he didn’t have to sit outside on the street in that cold. ^^

I met up Merja and Yau outside my hotel. The venue was only a few meters away. I must say that Jrock Suomi organized the whole queuing process very well. We all had to gather outside the arena at 8 a clock. We were divided into three groups: Fanclub members, VIP and regular. Then we got a random queuing number. Me and Yau who was going to queue VIP together got 200 something.

VIP passes

VIP passes

It was sooooo cold to wait. I had brought hot spots, foil blanket and a regular blanket but it was apparently not enough. I was shivering the whole time. During one of our walkabouts (we could leave the queue for 30 minutes) I went to a nearby mall and bought pillows and another blanket.

I met Melva Yan, a very cute lolita facebook friend!

Me and Melva

Me and Melva

And I did also meet Nina (another facebook friend) and Natsu and Mazaki; fangirls I’ve met before. ^^

The camera men took a picture of my flag again. ^^

The arena was much smaller than I thought and the stage much smaller than in Munich. I ended up on fourth row between Ruki and Uruha. This time I really wanted to be able to stay in that crowd to the end and I had prepared myself by drinking water just before the gig started. The air-conditioning was also a billion times better than in Dortmund.

The setlist was exactly the same as in Dortmund.

It started with XI. The members entered the stage from the left thought, so they came out in a different order: Kai, Uruha, Reita, Aoi and Ruki.

Then VORTEX. I could see all members on the stage very well, but Ruki and Uruha best. The lightning was much better also. I could see Ruki’s face more clear.

VORTEX got followed by Leech. So much energy in the crowd. And a lot of pushing, of course. (ME DON’T LIKE!) But WTF… just had to deal with it and fight for my spot.

Then Before I decay, followed by GABRIEL ON THE GALLOWS. Ruki licked the microphone. Mmmm… sexy!

And then VENOMOUS SPIDER’S WEB. The Seeeexy song where Ruki jumps up on the box in the middle and touches his groin very seductive. I wish I could have these moments on repeat *ha ha ha*… Hrm… sorry. As I’ve said before, I’m an old woman, and we have legal right to dirty minds.

In the end, Ruki did the cross sign and they started to play THE SUICIDE CIRCUS. As usual the crowd cheered extra loud – it’s an favorite after all. Ruki smiled a lot during this live, and it was so wonderful to see. A genuine smile. When the song ended he stepped forward with the microphone cable between his teeth and DRIPPING INSANITY and UNTITLED followed.

Ruki was very sweaty now and he shook is head so the sweat quirted in all directions.

Uruha is a true beauty. Wow. Tyra Banks would be very proud of him, ’cause he truly knows how to “smize” and pout his lips like a real model. His eyes were intense and seductive.

Time for DERANGEMENT and Headache man. As before, Ruki laughed like a maniac in the start and in the end of the song. He also repeatedly humped the air on stage. Oh lala, I simply love that. And then it was SLUDGY CULT and cockroach. All members on stage head banged synchronously – I simply love that sight. Then of course – Filth in the Beauty. You know how it goes. More energy, more power and more circular head banging.

Encore. Everybody shouted and the band entered again to close the show with Shiver, Ruder and Linda ~Pinky Heaven Bloody Hell~.

During Ruder, Ruki took Uruhas place to the right, put a water a bottle against his groin and squirted the water on the audience. How dirty of that man. And we loved it.

When it all was over I was SO close to catch Uruha’s plectrum again but I simply have bad luck when it comes to these kind of things. I got showered by Ruki’s water again though and that’s always something. ^^

They thanked us and we sheered. It was a great show and I felt that Ruki gave more today than he did in Munich. Aoi seemed to feel better as well.

I love this band so much that it hurts. I guess that’s why I feel so sad now. I’m exhausted, physically and mentally – but I don’t want it to end. It’s the same feeling like when someone you love dearly leaves you.

But that’s life. Thank you GazettE for an amazing world tour. We love you, please come back!

RUKI: but this was sth we couldn’t compromise…Sorry for being so vague(´._.ˋ) …

RUKI: we’ll be able to tell you soon so pls look forward to it m(_ _)m

Aoi: Seems like there are some early birds already waiting at the venue again. Please take care not to catch a cold.

Aoi: Actually, “the GazettE” means “Helsinki”.

Aoi: Was it called Salmiyakki? Salmiakki?
Anyways, it was in the hotel’s mini-bar, and this gummy is so nasty it’s destructive.

Aoi:: That’s right. It’s the city in Finland called Helsinki. By the way, the tax is 24%.

Live report: GazettE in Munich (my story)

Two days ago, I saw the GazettE in Dortmund: Live report: GazettE in Dortmund (my story)

Today, I saw them in Munich.

Omg… what a day… and what an evening… I need time to let all impressions sink in. This was truly wonderful – and somehow unbelievable. It all feels like a dream.

My precious VIP-ticket.

VIP tickets

The day and waiting was long though. Me an Mono Chrome arrived at the venue at 7.30 in the morning and we were definitely not the first ones. I got queueing number 65 among the VIP and fanclub members.

Number 65

Number 65

It was cold as hell and I realized that I really need to buy some extra clothes or blankets for Finland. We talked with other fans and signed tour-flags.

We met a lot of people that had been in Dortmund as well. Among these was the girl who gave me water during the Dortmund-concert, Raoii, and now I got the opportunity to thank her. She was accompanied by her friend Suzuki.

Suzuki & Raoii

Suzuki & Raoii

It was Raoii’s birthday and Suzuki had made her a beautiful Gazette-rainbow cake that we all could taste. ^^

A couple of girls from Switzerland took the initiative to hand out small papers to all fans, letting them write personal letters to the Gazette. The letters were then put in a piggy bank and handed to the staff.

Some fans had organized a queueing system and even though it was for a good cause, this was the most confusing queueing ever. I don’t even have the energy to talk about it. But it was with this system I got number 65 and in the end it let me enter the venue pretty early. The venue in Munich was much much bigger than in Dortmund and the arriving amount of fans was massive.

I really tried to eat and drink smart this time. I was afraid that I was going to be one of them passing out this night – but I didn’t.

Mono Chrome is so sweat. She bought me Dextro Energy and Redbull! <3

Dextro and Red bull

The fanclub members could enter the venue first, which decreased my chances to get a good spot on the front row. So far, the European fans have been crazy. Some very sweet but some also very rude. The guards had to shout constantly “Don’t push!!!”

Here, me and other VIP had been lead up to the VIP entrance.

In the venue, me and Mono Chrome took a spot to the left, on Aoi’s and Reita’s side. I ended up on third row, but could easily grab then crush barrier if I needed to. This was a very good spot, in contrast to standing in the middle in front of Ruki, which I did in Dortmund. Here was no pushing, I could wave my hands and clap, headbang and jump. This is the reason why this concert felt so much more enjoyable than the last one.

People was excited and – just as in Dortmund – we clapped the rythm to Linda ~Pinky Heaven Bloody Hell~ before the concert started.

And very punctual at 8.00 PM, the live started… and according to routines for this world tour it started with XI. White spotlights from the front of the stage piled down and looked like bars of light. Then to a punching rythm, the big “GazettE”-flag on the wall got lightened up.

People went crazy and screamed. Kai enterted, Aoi and Reita entered, Uruha entered and last Ruki.

I was looking at Aoi a lot to see if he was well or not. I haven’t been able to follow the news on Internet much during this journey, but apparantly he has been very very sick. In Toulouse they first didn’t want to do an encore, since both Ruki and Aoi didn’t feel well. But the crowd craved an encore so intensly so they got one in the end. During the Dortmund concert, Aoi was very very sick. He was pale like a ghost and was about to throw up. In the end of the concert he had to sit down.

But he seemed to feel a little bit better now and I’m so happy for it. Maybe he still felt very sick (I heard that he have had 40 degrees Celcius fever.. :-(), but it didn’t show much.

Firs song was DERANGEMENT. Ruki moved like he was a robot or a broken doll, with his arms stretched out to the sides, crooked and he snapt forward like he broke his back. He threw a kiss to the audience and kept doing this strange ragdoll dance during the solos of the song. It was very sexy.

Next song was GABRIEL ON THE GALLOWS. Reita run forward and showed off his skills. Aoi – who I stood closest and could see very well – made a weird face towards us, stared like he had went temporarily possessed and then he made his sexy dance where he moves his hips like a belly dancer.

Time for VENOMOUS SPIDER’S WEB. Apparently, this is a song where Ruki choose to offer some fanservice, ’cause just like in Dortmund, he started to touch himself in the groin very sexy. Oh la la. Here, I don’t really know what happened to Aoi, if something got stuck in his ear or if it was an expression of the song, ’cause he tilted his head to the side and punched it with his hand several times. You know, like an expression of insanity. It looked very cool to the music.

Next up: VORTEX! Ruki wanted us to JUMP JUMP JUMP! And we did. :-) Aoi rocked so hard. I couldn’t believe he had been so sick. He swinged his head around and gave us true attitude.

Next song was Before I decay. Ruki held his hand over his eyes and looked out over the audience, like he was scouting.

Then it was time for THE SUICIDE CIRCUS which seem to be a favorite among many. Aoi swirled around like he was doing a piruette. At a point of the song, Ruki, put his finger to his lips and hushed and then he made the most awesome painful scream ever. LOVE LOVE LOVE. He put the cable to the microphone between his teeth in a very sexy way and the audience went wild. Aoi pointed at someone in the audience and smiled.

They drank water. The stage was dark. Then suddenly some soft tones and soft lightning. Ruki went towards us. His eyes looked empty. Like he couldn’t see. He moved around with his hand stretched out, like he was lost and tried to find something. Time for DRIPPING INSANITY, as emotional as in Dortmund. And all over again followed up by UNTITLED. These songs are sooooo beautiful.

Then they played a song that they actually didn’t play in Dortmund: AGONY! (Wohoo!) Aoi smiled a lot and looked at us so softly. He seemed so genuinly happy to be there. Such fragile smile. He looked kind and humble. It was adorable.

Reita came over to our side and made us rock harder. That guy truly has attitude. Mono Chrome said that his but was sexy, but I couldn’t find it… ^_- (So small…) In the end of the song, Aoi put both of his hands in front of his mouth and blew away a kiss to us. So sweet.

Kai, this man with the most beautiful smile in the world, smiled constantly. It looks like he can’t be happier than behind the drums. ^^

AGONY was followed up by another song that we didn’t hear in Dortmund either: Remember the urge! Rock on! Ruki drank water and squirted it up in the air like a fountain of watery fog. In the end he put his microphone horisontally over his neck and made a gesture like he was about to cut himself. He made this weird/crazy – and so adorable – laugh and it was time for Headache Man. That is such a great song and I was happy to hear it again. He ended it with is crazy laugh as well.

Then I was about to cry, ’cause they played my absolute favorite song from the DIVISION album that I really was hoping that they would play: REQUIRED MALFUNCTION. It’s so beautiful, the harmonies, the lyrics… I screamed of happiness and sang along. I was close to tears.

It was followed up by another favorite: Filth in the beauty. An acoustic guitar had been brought up next to Aoi and he played the acoustic part to the song. He switched between that guitar and his electric guitar very smoothly. Damn, he’s an awesome guitarplayer. Unfortunately, Ruki’s voice started to get tired here. After all, we had heard that he have been a little sick. He let us sing a lot instead of him, which we did with delight.

In the end he spoke some german: “DANKE SCHÖN GERMANY!”

So well pronounced, Ruki! :-D

And here it was time for encore. We clapped and shouted. After… maybe fifteen minutes (?) they entered the stage again and played Shiver. Ruki’s voice had recovered a bit and he made the most awesome vibrato.

After this – to my great delight – they played HYENA (another song that they didn’t play in Dortmund). Aaaaah, that song is so AWESOME! Gosh! Reita and Aoi danced around on the stage and…

.. here it was time for some FANSERVICE again! ^^

Uruha went over to the middle and leant towards Ruki who put his arm around his neck and started to touch Uruha’s chest sensually. Zomg… Like it wasn’t hot in the venue already!

Aoi looked at someone among us and gave us “thumb up”.

And last song, the good bye song that is so happy but still makes us so sad since it symbolized the end: Linda ~Pinky Heaven Bloody Hell~

We clapped to the rythm and sang along. Ruki and Reita made this awesome crazy dance where they lean forward and kick one leg up, over and over again – you know -, it looks very tiredsome. Aoi jumped up on a box in the middle of the stage and made his wonderful solo. They started to wave us good bye and we waved back.

Finally, Uruha came over to our side and made this funny dance he does sometimes, you know, left foot kick, right foot kick, left foot kick… like he is steppdancing. ^^ And lo and behold, we could see that he actually was barefoot and danced in sandals. his toe-nails were painted black. ^^

Show was over. They threw water bottles, drumsticks and water at us. Kai made a crazy run to the middle of the stage and threw his bottle very far. Ruki poured water over us and when I got drenched in his water it felt like I got touched by God. Ha Ha.

Yepp, the end. People was crying. A lot of people have had to be lifted over the crush barrier by the guards just like in Dortmund. Everybody was sweaty and exhausted. Going to a Gazette concert is not a game – remember that you who will see them in Finland! Take care of yourselves!

After the concert music was placed while the roodies took care of the stage equipment: “Knockin’ on heaven’s door” by Guns’n roses, just as in Dortmund. I wonder if it’s GazettE who have chosen that music list.

After the show it turned out that Raoii had managed to catch one of Uruha’s plectrums. Wasn’t that an awesome birthday present to her or what? ^^

Ooooh, this has been a tough but wonderful day. Next stop is Finland, which is the Gazette tour finale this time. In Dortmund I stood in front of Ruki, this time in front of Aoi and Reita… so I hope I can stand at Uruha’s side next time. Then the circle will be comlete. ^^

A long trip awaits me… You’ll hear from me again! Over and out!

Live report: GazettE in Dortmund (my story)

This is the second time I see GazettE live. They are my number one band. I saw them last year in Tokyo (DAY 5: Groan of Diplosomia).

But now… now they are in Europe. So crazy.

Like a dream.

This concert was one of my most wonderful – and horrible – concerts I’ve experienced at the same time.

I’ve just got home to my hotel, taken a – very needed shower – and type this words at the bar with a slightly injured hand (I’ll come to that…)

I can start with the setlist of tonight:

[XI]
01. VORTEX
02. Leech
03. Before I decay
04. GABRIEL ON THE GALLOWS
05. VENOMOUS SPIDER’S WEB

I’m very pleased with the setlist, even though I could kill for hearing Miseinen live one day. I keep praying.

We arrived a little bit late to the venue, me, Mono Chrome and her friend A.

I think we arrived at 01.00 PM and the concert would start at 08.00 PM. There was 2 queues; one for VIP’s and one for regular tickets. We had VIP-tickets. :-)

GazettE VIP-ticket

One funny thing happened during while we were waiting. The GazettE staff wandered around the area and filmed an photographed people. When I saw them, I started to wave with my Swedish flag and caught their interest.

They filmed me with flag and wondered if I they could interview me. Of course. ^^ But I got nervous and probably said a lot of weird stuff… I can’t remember. They asked if they could use the material for a DVD and I said yes, so who knows… *ha ha* Small chance, but this means I have to buy GazettE’s World Tour DVD (I would have done it anyway, but…)

My Swedish GazettE flag.

Ok, five hours later we could enter the venue. The VIP entered first. This is my VIP-card. (Yeah, I look like a mess, the picture is taken after the concert. ^_-)

Inside the venue, I handed my little gift to a staff-member who promised to give it to the band. It was a stuffed moose (symbol of Sweden) with a post card (a picture of Swedish archipelago and a letter). I will give the GazettE my flag too, but not until Finland. I’m planning to bring it to every concert first.

There was a lot of people before us in line so we ended up on 5th/6th row from the stage. I stood in the middle, right in front of the spot where Ruki was going to be. He’s simply my favorite. ^^ The venue was actually not that big. I think it could take 1500 people.

Inside we had to wait another two hours and while it got more and more crowded, it got hotter and more difficult to breathe. Even before the concert had started, sweat was dripping from peoples faces and everybody tried to squeeze themselves as close to the stage as possible. I don’t like this kind of pushing. I faced the ceiling and tried to breathe deeply.

Lol, found this picture on Facebook. This is meeeee! ^^

Venue in Dortmund

Venue in Dortmund

The concert started with XI. Noone on stage yet. It was dark. Punching rythm. Everybody got crazy.

And then they entered. First came Kai, very welldressed. Then entered Aoi and Reita, then Uruha and last Ruki.

ZOMG… that man (Ruki) is SO beautiful! I can’t believe I’ve been standing only four meters from this man. In contrast to my last GazettE-gig when I was very far away from the stage, I could this time see everything in details. Every pearl in his necklace. I could even see the small, small, cross that was painted under his left eye. He looked like a god.

They started to play Vortex. I expected Reita’s current hairdo to make it impossible to see his eyes, but his frizzy bang was combed to the side so we could see his eye. At least in the beginning of the concert. Very soon, all members of GazettE got as sweaty as we and Aoi’s and Reita’s hair covered their faces. Ruki’s, Uruha’s and Kai’s hair remained perfect to the very end though. ^_-

Ruki spoke remarkably good English. He screamed “Hello Germany!”, “Nice to meet you!” and his wonderful: “Rrrrrrets ROCK!”

VENOMOUS SPIDER’S WEB… oh my… With his back to us, Ruki made a sexy dance, swaying his hips, and in the middle of the song he started to touch himself intensly… you know where… yes, his crotch. I counted the seconds. *ha ha* I’m a dirty old woman. This truly made my day!

Reita sticked out his tounge to us.

I must admit that the concert was about to be really tough for me at this point. The heat was awful, the pushing was awful, and I was very much dehydrated. Since it was so crowded I couldn’t move my arms. I couldn’t even clap my hands even though I wanted to. I just had to focus on breathing, keeping myself conscious and try not to fall (people were pushing a lot).

While doing this, I tried to enjoy everything I saw and heard. GazettE is truly an amazing band.

Aoi made his typical poses where he throws his head back. Uruha truly looked like a god in his new hairdo. Kai smiled. And Ruki licked his lips almost all the time, ha ha. Seeeexy.

At one moment he pointed at the people in the back, made a gesture that they would come closer, bit/kissed his finger and then threw his kiss at us.

The text on Ruki’s jacket “HOMME” was glowing in the dark and his scream in “THE SUICIDE CIRCUS” was to die for. Wonderful!

Then it was time for two slower songs. First Dripping Insanity. It was very emotional. And then the played “UNTITLED” which I absolutely love. In the end, Ruki put his hands together, like a prayer, and bit his lip. He looked bothered. We could see that this song is important to him.

People started to pass out in the crowd. They got lead back in the venue or got lifted over the crush barrier by the guards. I felt very dizzy myself, like a zombie. I wasn’t able to headbang or anything, just focusing on not passing out. We screamed for water, but the guards in the front was very bad at helping us. They kind of handed us a glass of water each and every 20 minutes… and THAT’S NOT ENOUGH WHEN AN ENTIRE CROWD is about to pass out.

One girl gave me a glass of water that had been passed back to us. There was only one drop in it and even though she looked as tired as me, she actually gave me that drop. What a wonderful person.

I thought: “I don’t want to pass out and I don’t want to leave. I must cope this situation until encore, at least.”

But during DERANGEMENT, the situation became unbearable. I was about to pass out. And when I noticed that my friend Mono Chrome was about to faint too, I decided to lead us BOTH back to the bar. Mono Chrome fell to the floor and I cried for for water for us.

I stayed there, drank water like crazy and watched Reita who now had taken Ruki’s spot in the middle of the stage. Even though I couldn’t see them as good at this spot, it was much nicer to be there, then in that chaos.

I got so happy when they played Headache Man. It’s a great song with great screams. In the end, Ruki made a very weird laugh. I loved it.
Then it was time for SLUDGY CULT and the band told us to JUMP JUMP JUMP! I had recovered a bit and was able to do that. Wonderful.

After the encore, the band entered the stage with their tour t-shirts (on which it says “Rad Man”), except Ruki who still had his HOMME-jacket.

Uruha put his hands together like praying and bowed with his head with eyes closed, as a thank you to us who asked for an encore. Ruki threw a bottle of water to the audience and said: “Thank you Germany!”

Time for Shiver! The audience got crazy again. And then the lovely punk’ish song “Ruder”! (LOVE LOVE LOVE!) Ruki screamed “REITA” when it was time for his bass-solo and he enter the middle of the stage again. Then it was time for Aoi and Uruha to enter that spot for their solo.

At this time, Ruki put his water bottle to his groin and showered the audience. *yeah yeah yeah* Reita took Ruki’s place to the right of the stage, stuck his tounge out and gave us the finger with both hands.

Last song… the traditional Linda ~Pinky Heaven Bloody Hell~… As usual, the audience was lightened up with spotlights – the band could see us! And everybody sang along and clapped their hands. I knew this was the end of this night. A very… strange night.)

Reita made his awesome “circle-jump-dance” – you know when he starts to jump and circle around with his bass like crazy (I don’t get how he do NOT get dizzy and fall while doing this.)

The end. They thanked us. We sheered. They threw bottles, drumsticks and plectrum at us. Uruhas plectrum landed in my area and I threw myself to the floor to get it. This was where I injured my hand ’cause I kind of ended up in a fight with another girl who also wanted it badly. I HAD it under my hand, but somehow she punched it and took the plektrum. I’m SO ANGRY!

People truly looked horrible at this point – and so did I. Everybody was so sweaty like we had been taking a bath. Even my bag that I have had hanging on my shoulder was soaking wet.

The merchandize was sold out fast (even before the concert). But I did some bargains. All stuff is personally designed by Ruki. He is such an amazing artist in every possible way. I bought the tour-t-shirt, the rivet slippers, makeup mirror, a towel and iPhone decoration.

GazettE Merchandize

Next stop is Munich… I will take the train there tomorrow. I hope I will be able to enter the venue earlier next time, so I can stand at the crush barrier. Then I have something to hold on to, and it’s easier to get the guards attention when you need help.

The venue in Munich is much much bigger, so… we’ll see.

Over and out.

I’m leaving now…

… for a small journey in the name of GazettE.

I will go see them in Dortmund, Munich and Helsinki, and I’m SO excited… I will probably not be able to update my blog that often during these days or keep in touch with my friends, but I’ll be back! ^^

And I will tell you EVERYTHING about the concerts (if I don’t get a memory loss due to hysteria… ^^)

And if you see me in the crowd, please say hello! <3

I made myself a pair of “GazettE-leg warmers”. I like to work with fabric printing and sewing. :-)

The ADAMS concert in Cologne at MTC

Wohoooo, we got some HOT FAN SERVICE! Keep reading and watching! :-)

I took the train from Hamburg to Cologne in order to see ADAMS perform at club MTC July 12th. Last time I was at MTC I saw Amaranyx.

I came from the Deathgaze concert to this and afterwards I can say that it has been two AMAZING concerts but SO different from each other in many ways! A perfect combo for a trip oversea I must say. ^^ I’m pleased.

I met a friend in Cologne and we brought 2 new friends (who had a dog and two rats) with us to the concert. We had a great time, so thank you!

ADAMS is a band consisting of two people:
Adam: lead singer
Shota: backup singer, guitar, producer

ADAMS

ADAMS

They have recently become very popular in Europe among jrock people, which gladdens me enormously. You can tell though that they still are very young on stage, but their music is very well done, catchy, sexy and beautiful and delivered with such passion. The first song I heard with ADAMS was Boku no sei, and I still cries when I hear it and watch the video. Please take a look at it HERE.

I had VIP ticket to the ADAMS show which means that I could enter the club earlier, buy my merchandise and get a photo with the band + meet them during a signing session before the concert.

Shota Yokoyama, me and Adam

Shota Yokoyama, me and Adam

When I jumped up on the stage to them I said “Konnbanwa! Suweeden jin desu” which was my way to greet them and tell that I’m from Sweden. I heard later that I was the only one who put my arms around them during the photo shoot, but of course I asked them first if it was OK.

Afterwards I could sign the fan sheet for the band and here you can see them posing with it. I hope the gift made them happy. ^^

From the fans in Cologne

From the fans in Cologne

I bought the Bittersweet CD and some very nice photos. When it was time for signing session I greeted them again “Konnichiwa. Genki desu ka?” and they answered “Genki desu”. Adam was smiling and Shota said “You are good at Japanese” (which is not true, but it made me glad to hear). He asked me something in Japanese that I didn’t understand and I got desperate: “Wakarimasen! Wakarimasen!” Adam laughed again. In even more poor Japanese I continued with saying “Koko ni ikimasu, ADAMS o mimasu” which probably is as wrong as it can be, but I wanted to say that I went to Cologne just to see them. I hope that made them happy. I said: “Next time Sweden!” and I hope that will be true.

Unfortunately I didn’t bring any gifts from Sweden, but I had some chocolate for Adam and Lucky Strikes to Shota. ^_- It seemed like they got A LOT of chocolate from the fans. My friend from Sweden brought them Swedish honey. I hope they like that! ^^ Later they posted this pic on Facebook:

Shota & Adam with gifts

Shota & Adam with gifts

It’s very hard to guess their age. They looked so perfect both of them; a very handsome couple with perfect skin. No sign of age whatsoever. They must be 30 years old or younger. But… it’s so hard to guess the age of Japanese. They got miracle skin.

Shota had really nice makeup in blue while Adam went more natural with simple eyeliner. He has very beautiful white teeth (why am I always talking about the singer’s teeth^! I should stop doing that. ^_-)

Time for concert and I got a good spot in the middle on the second row. They started the show with “Checkmate!!” and I think it’s been a long time since I heard girls scream so mush – and so loud! Yayks!

Adam (ADAMS)

Adam (ADAMS)

What surprised me was that Shota and Adam sang almost equally much, backing each other up and singing different musical parts. Adam is the lead singer though and Shota was mostly “rapping” (I think that’s what I can call it). But when you see in the video below that Shota or Adam aren’t really singing in the microphone, it’s because the other one was singing at the moment while the other mimicked for fun.

Shota (ADAMS)

Shota (ADAMS)

They were both really sexy in front of the audience, but I believe Adam tempted us the most with sexy postures and squinty eyes. They seemed to have so much fun up there and the audience was crazy about everything they did. When they performed Boys and girls, Adam and Shota danced para para (so cute) and when it was time for Dizzy love, the fans screamed even louder (like if that was possible!?)

During Sweet Dreams it started to get really hot between Shota and Adam (haha) which you can see in the videos below. But they were just warming up…. ^_- You will see…

Shota & Adam (ADAMS)

Shota & Adam (ADAMS)

I’m so glad that they performed Boku no sei. It was really emotional and AH, it’s sooo beautiful. *sob sob* During one song, Shota surprisingly took off his sunglasses and threw them to a happy girl in the audience.

We had to call them in on stage two times with encore. After the first one, Shota told us that they would play a song that was very, veeeeeery important to ADAMS. It was “Stand up”. They asked us to stretch out our arms towards the sky, which we did. I must say that Shota spoke very good English. At least he had really good pronunciation.

After the second encore they performed with One and Only which I think is a pretty new song. I like it.

Shota & Adam (ADAMS)

Shota & Adam (ADAMS)

They played a lot of songs, much more than I thought they would play. 13 of them! This is the setlist that I remember:

ADAMS Setlist Cologne July 12th 2013
1. Checkmate!!
2. Boys and girls
3. Kissin in the dark
4. Dizzy love
5. Like a dance
6. Go (New song that I really like)
7. Sasayaki (New song)
8. Romance
9. Bittersweet
10. Sweet Dreams
11. Boku no sei
[ENCORE]
12. Stand up

13. One and Only

In the end they were smiling so much. They seemed to have such a good time and that made me so happy. Adam looked like a kid on Christmas Eve.

Happy Adam (ADAMS)

Happy Adam (ADAMS)

After last encore, they were kind of looking at each other, smiling, a bit insecure, like… “Shall we…?” And then they kissed. For quite long. It was very hot and the audience went wild. I feel like a dirty old woman when saying this but… eeeeeh…. That was nice to see. I think I got enough fan service for the rest of this year. ^^ *drooling*

The show was over but we had another opportunity to shake their hands before leaving. I shake Shotas hand first, telling him that their music is lovely and that I’ve been in contact with him before about the Adams news videos that me and my friend Hide translated into English and he remembered. He also remembered that I was from Sweden. I gave him a hug and when it was time to talk to Adam he looked at us and made a gesture of feeling short. Ha ha. Well, Shota is REALLY tall. Much taller than me! We laughed about it. I gave Adam a hug as well and said for one last time; See you in Sweden.

Here is some film clips from this night:

I felt like a schoolgirl for the rest of the night. ^^ We met some really friendly German couple that treated us beer and pizza and we had a lovely time. THANK YOU! You are awesome!
