I’ve mentioned Atsuto Uchida before, since it’s World Cup and all…
Atsuto Uchida will make his voice acting debut in latest pokémon theatrical film movie “Pokémon the Movie XY: Diancie and the Cocoon of Destruction” that will have premiere on July 19th.
Uchida has been a fan of Pokémon since he was a child. He says that he always played soccer outside of the house and Pokémon games inside.
Uchida plays the role of a hotel porter whose appearance is inspired by Uchida and got the same name as Uchida’s nick-name in real life: “Usshii”.
“With my personality, I usually don’t show many emotions on my face and have a hard time expressing myself with words, so it was hard working as a voice actor who has to put a lot of feeling into his voice. I played the Pokémon games with my friends a lot in elementary school, so I’m very happy to be able to appear in the movie. It would be nice if children who don’t know me the athlete Atsuto Uchida would remember me as Usshii. Please look forward to seeing me somewhere in the upcoming film!”
I’m watching the anime Rurouni Kenshin at the moment and have become very fond of it (will tell you more when I’m done).
So of course, I feel very eager to see this upcoming live action: RUROUNI KENSHIN: KYOTO INFERNO
How about you?
Well, first I’m gonna see the first movie… ^^

Yesterday I watched “Hentai Kamen” that a friend handed to me a while ago. And wow, I laughed so hard. This movie is truly fucked up. ^^
The movie is based on a comedy manga series called “Kyūkyoku!! Hentai Kamen” (究極!!変態仮面?, lit. “Ultimate!! Pervert Mask”). The main character – Kyōsuke Shikijō – is a high school student who finds out that he gets super powers if he wears a pair of panties on his head. He becomes a masked super hero and fights for his school and for a girl – Aiko Himeno – that he falls in love with. Aiko falls in love with the perverted hero but have no clue that it’s Kyōsuke.
If you have a sick sense of humor and don’t mind blushing – watch this. ^^
Thanks for the gift Mono Chrome!

I’ve just watched this Ghibli movie “Neko no ongaeshi” (The Cat Returns) from 2002.
It is truly a “feel-good”-movie that left me with a warm and happy feeling afterwards. I recommend everyone to see it, especially if you like anime, Ghibli or have children. I’m sure children would love this movie as well as adults.
The plot was simple but imaginative. A young girl, Haru, saves a cat from being hit by a car and gets the shock of her life: the cat can stand straight like a human and talk.
After this, her lives turns into chaos when the cat’s father – who turns out to be the king in the Kingdom of cats – want to thank her in various crazy ways that unfortunately isn’t that useful in the world of humans. But worst of all, he kidnaps her and forces her to marry his son Lune, and Haru discovers that in the world of cats, she’s about to turn into one herself. Her friend, a cat she calls Baron, tells her to not forget herself and stay strong in whom she is, which seem to prevent her from a total transformation. I believe this is a message we all can embrace.
The movie has these simple elements of charm that is so typical Ghibli productions. It was funny and endearing and the characters felt real. It was not very long either – perfect for a cosy evening.
